Leading providers of dynamic location based services showcase real-time traffic services on Smartphone at Telematics Detroit

DETROIT, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- UIE Automotive, a technology leader in location based services across three screens for the connected vehicle owner announced today its partnership with INRIX(R), the leading provider of traffic information in North America. The companies will demonstrate a rich mobile traffic application for drivers to showcase their partnership at Telematics Detroit June 2-3, 2009 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Mich.

UIE Automotive recently integrated INRIX traffic services with its myCar(TM) platform to create compelling traffic and location based services. The INRIX service features industry leading traffic data and combines with UIE Automotive's robust client-server technology to facilitate and optimize the on-device user experience.

"As we continue to build out the myCar(TM) platform for the automotive market, INRIX proved to be best-in-class for providing real-time and predictive traffic data that enables UIE Automotive to deliver rich, location based services to the connected owner," said Stephen Fishburn, general manager of UIE Automotive. "The partnership with INRIX for mobile delivery of traffic services is a compelling extension of our platform and gives consumers the opportunity to enhance their connected vehicle experience."

"UIE Automotive and INRIX share a common vision to extend real-time services to vehicle owners and provide a rich interactive experience inside and outside the vehicle," said Kush Parikh, vice president, business development of INRIX.
