INDIAN LAND, S.C., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Hendrick Construction, Inc. has completed Continental Tire North America, Inc.'s headquarters facility - a 75,000-square-foot building that employs 375 people.

The $11 million facility on MacMillan Park Drive features individual offices, clusters of work stations and several conference rooms. The headquarters will also serve as a call center.

"We were able to fast-track this project by building the shell of the facility while the interior was still being designed," said Roger Hendrick, president of Hendrick Construction. "We're proud to be involved with such an important project for Lancaster County, as well as the state of South Carolina."

Hendrick Construction worked with Forsite Development to build the facility and develop the property in just over a year. A local workforce was hired to landscape and set up the new headquarters.

Continental Tire relocated to Lancaster County from Charlotte, N.C. The company recently opened its new facility and held a special ceremony attended by community leaders, customers and employees.

"Continental Tire has built a solid reputation by providing outstanding products throughout our 138-year history, and this move to South Carolina is just the next step in our ongoing effort to contribute to the North and South American markets," said Matthias Schoenberg, chief executive officer of Continental Tire North America.

Continental manufactures and distributes a complete line of Continental and General brand passenger, light truck and commercial tires for original equipment and replacement markets.
