ZURICH, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of SVOX, the leading provider of embedded speech solutions, today announced that Martin Reber was named chief executive officer of SVOX AG on March 1, replacing Volker Jantzen, the company co-founder, who will continue to serve on the board. Mr. Reber formerly served as COO of SVOX.

SVOX has experienced strong growth in the past few years both organic and early this year through the acquisition of the Professional Speech Processing Group of Siemens AG. The board of directors is glad to strengthen the executive management board by the appointment of Mr. Reber as CEO.

Mr. Reber has been with SVOX since 2001 and most recently was responsible for Professional Services, Product Management and Technical Sales. Before joining SVOX, he worked for Philips Semiconductors, where he was in charge of chip design for the company's international subsidiaries as well as the design and implementation of mixed analog-digital CMOS circuits for mobile communication applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from the University of Kaiserslautern and a postgraduate business degree from the Swiss Institute of Technology.
