PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Mack Trucks, Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America, as part of the Volvo Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks, buses and construction equipment, select HUSS for their new retrofit diesel particulate filter solution to allow operators of older-model Mack and Volvo trucks to meet stringent new emissions requirements approved by California environmental regulators in December 2008.

The HUSS MK diesel particulate filter system, which is an active regeneration technology, is verified to meet California's CARB Level 3 requirements (greater than 85% particulate collection). Vehicle owners using the system will be able to meet the "In-Use On-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation", and future pending legislations.

The HUSS retrofit system is capable of collecting up to 99% of diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions, exceeding substantially the CARB requirements. In addition, the HUSS MK filter may also be applied to on-road engines using diesel fuel that contains as much as 20% biodiesel.
