Departments throughout the U.S will have until March 9, 2009, to submit their entries. An E-ONE internal committee will review the submissions and select seven finalists.

The seven finalists will be announced on March 30, 2009, then it will be up to the fire industry to vote for the department they feel is most deserving. Voting ends at 1:00 p.m. on April 24th and the winner will be announced at 3:00 p.m. on the FDIC show floor in E-ONE's booth -- #9104 Lucas Oil Stadium.
