WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- This free, web-based seminar features high-level officials and advisors from the US Department of Energy and Ohio incentive programs along with financial experts.

1. The US Department of Energy (DOE) is administering two industrial stimulus programs providing loans, loan guarantees and grants to the advanced energy and automobile industries to promote:

-- Renewable Energy Loan Guarantee Program ($10B) to promote new alternative energy technologies ready for commercial use, and

-- Advanced Technology Manufacturing Loan Program ($25B): to promote more fuel-efficient light-duty vehicles.

2. The Ohio Air Quality Development Authority administers an $84 million advanced energy grant and loan program to stimulate jobs, economic development and investment in advanced energy.

Officials from these programs will explain the programs' intent and eligibility rules.
