PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Bongiovi Acoustics, LLC and Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) have entered into an agreement to bring advanced technologies and delivery systems into the automotive industry utilizing Bongiovi Acoustic's "Digital Power Station" (DPS) technology.

This technology produces significant sonic improvements in car audio systems without adding costly hardware such as amplifiers, crossovers and additional speakers.

Johnson Controls is a leading supplier of seating, interiors and electronics for vehicles. Through this agreement, Johnson Controls can integrate the DPS technology into its interior products, including vehicle overhead systems and door panels.

The companies will jointly develop new technologies and applications which through various applications, will reduce the weight of the vehicle, increase critical design space, and reduce the cost of components and installation. These technologies will provide a studio-quality sound experience for the owner while giving automobile designers the latitude to reduce weight and add safety features and amenities.
