Insignia Announces DOMESTIC AUTO DEALER STIMULUS PLAN

ROCK HILL, S.C., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Insignia Group, LC, the largest provider of accessory sales systems, announces the DOMESTIC AUTO DEALER STIMULUS PLAN. Now through the end of the year Insignia will be providing its state-of-the-art accessories sales system FREE to all non-current Domestic Auto Dealer customers (GM, Ford, and Chrysler). The program's goal is to help sell more domestic brand accessories like GM Accessories and create replacement revenue during these challenging economic times. In return, any of these dealerships that make a profit selling accessories are asked to make a small contribution back to Insignia in order to support the program.

"In this state of emergency, we feel it is imperative that dealers take advantage of every possible opportunity to make additional gross profit," says David Stringer, president of Insignia. "There is no better opportunity than offering accessories, even in these strained economic times. There are dealers still selling vehicles. Adding just $100 per vehicle in accessories on new, used and serviced vehicles can make the difference between the dealership closing and it surviving."

"Vehicle Personalization" is one of the few consistently growing segments of the automotive industry ($38 Billion in 2007, according to the Specialty Automotive Manufacturers Association, SEMA) and remains largely untapped by dealerships. Insignia helps its current 1700 dealership customers sell OEM brand accessories like GM, Ford, and Chrysler as well as import brands. Insignia also supports 38 of 39 GM Accessories ADIs in 81 markets.

Insignia's Stimulus Plan allows dealers to sign up free of charge between now and the end of the year and use the Insignia System and Sales Process to sell domestic brand accessories. In return, if that dealer makes a profit from selling accessories during this period Insignia will ask for a contribution of $150. The Stimulus Plan does not apply to current customers.

"We know that dealers who promote accessories in their dealerships, sell more vehicles and we know through independent data that Insignia customers sell more accessories," says Stringer. Insignia has just released the results of an analysis of independent data from 1273 dealers. Of that total 320 dealers who use the Insignia Accessories Sales System have a PNUR (Per New Unit Retail) of $131.44, compared to the 953 dealers with a PNUR of $101.60. Insignia concludes its dealers have a 30% higher PNUR and goes on to point out that dealers who used the Insignia System twice per day on average had a PNUR of $133.75, 33% higher than non-Insignia customers.
