(NYSE: DTG), is celebrating its 50th birthday with the launch of the "Thrifty Turns 50" Sweepstakes on www.THRIFTY.com. From October 1 - 30, 2008, Thrifty will award each of two daily winners with a $50 gasoline card -- up to 60 chances in all.

In addition, one Grand Prize winner randomly selected from all eligible entries will receive $1,000 in gasoline cards, one free week of a rental car from Thrifty at the U.S. location of their choice and two tickets from Southwest Airlines. One Second Place prize winner will receive $750 in gas cards and one free week of a rental car from Thrifty; and one Third Place winner will receive $250 in gas cards and three free days of car rental.
