TriMas Announces Brian McGuire as President of Monogram Aerospace Fasteners; Jerad Van Auken Promoted to President of Norris Cylinder

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TriMas Corporation (NYSE: TRS) -- a diversified growth company of specialty niche businesses -- today announced that Brian McGuire has been appointed President of Monogram Aerospace Fasteners, effective immediately. Mr. McGuire, who most recently held the role of president of the Norris Cylinder business, will assume the overall business responsibility for Monogram Aerospace Fasteners. In addition, Jerad "Jerry" Van Auken has been promoted to President of Norris Cylinder from the role of general manager of Norris Cylinder. Both positions will report to Edward Schwartz, Executive Vice President of TriMas Corporation.

Mr. McGuire has been a member of the TriMas team for 7 years, during which time he successfully implemented strategic growth initiatives at Norris Cylinder that drove substantial growth in sales and profitability from 2001 to 2008. Under his leadership, his team developed an ISO-approved cylinder product which led to the generation of approximately 20% of Norris Cylinder's sales from international markets. Mr. McGuire has more than 25 years of broad manufacturing and engineering expertise with 14 years of executive management experience within related markets. He has also held international program management, manufacturing engineering and general management positions within Lucas Aerospace and Luxfer Gas Cylinders.

During Mr. Van Auken's tenure with TriMas, he has been an integral part of the company's growth initiatives. He assisted Norris Cylinder in increasing its unit capacity, while supporting the expansion of the ISO-cylinder product line. Mr. Van Auken has over 30 years of experience and proven leadership in areas such as logistics, engineering, manufacturing and sales in industries such as deep drawn steel, transportation, industrial electronics, military avionics, liquid crystal display processes and biochemistry. Prior to joining TriMas, Mr. Van Auken held senior positions of increasing responsibility with companies such as Tax-Airfreight, Pressed Steel Tank Co., Planar Inc. (Standish Industries) and Eppendorf North America.
