Two hour targets in line with world's leading technology providers

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Plexus Systems, provider of Plexus Online on-demand software for the manufacturing enterprise, announces it has set key targets for data continuity and disaster recovery for its innovative Plexus Online Software as a Service (SaaS).

Using a redundant infrastructure with replicated data offsite, and the latest in data streaming technology, Plexus Systems has targeted the third quarter of 2008 to meet aggressive recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO) goals of two hours. The targets are in line with the world's leading technology providers for continuity and disaster recovery planning.

This new technology enables the Plexus Online ERP Solution to be restored within two hours of a disaster with data that is no older than 2 hours. The targets support Plexus Online's business edge of providing on-demand accessibility using the SaaS model.

The exceptional recovery targets are made possible by live data streamlining between the company's primary data center in Auburn Hills, Michigan and data center back up in Asheville, North Carolina.

"This approach delivers a level of responsiveness, redundancy and safety for our clients that is virtually impossible for them to match with an internal system deployment," said Mark Symonds, CEO and president of Plexus. "Our clients operate their entire business on our on-demand software. Our priority is that manufacturers using the Plexus Online solution will minimize the time and cost of recovering from service outages and disasters with industry-leading disaster recovery and improved business continuity."

Plexus Online, built on a "Software as a Service" (SaaS) model, offers more than 350 functional modules, providing manufacturers instant access to vital information and management functions using a simple Web browser. The on-demand solution features enterprise resource planning (ERP) functions such as accounting and finance modules, customer relationship management (CRM) features such as order entry and tracking, manufacturing execution systems (MES) functions such as production scheduling and machine integration and supply chain management (SCM) functions such as supplier quality and traceability.
