WESTWOOD, Mass., June 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LoJack Law Enforcement Director D.J. Thompson, a Higganum resident and long-time Connecticut State Police Trooper, has been named president of the Northeast Chapter of International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI). IAATI is an organization that helps improve communication and coordination among professional auto theft investigators.

Prior to joining LoJack in 2002, Thompson spent 22 years working with the Connecticut State Police and the last eight years as a detective for Connecticut State Police Auto Theft Unit. He has served as the Vice-President of the Northeast IAATI Chapter since 2005.

IAATI, which was founded in 1952, has grown to more than 4,000 members in 35 countries and includes representatives of law enforcement agencies, as well as other agencies with a legitimate interest in auto theft investigation, prevention and education. Presently, there are more than 1,400 members in the Northeast IAATI chapter.
