I am selling a 1994 Lincoln Town Car Executive for $300 or best offer. Light green exterior w/ black interior. It has approximately 156,000 miles on it. Although I drive it just about daily, it needs work (although it has never let me down). I was going to fix it up but, due to time issues, bought another one instead (because I liked this one so much). Anyway, I am driving up to Salem on Saturday morning to pick up the new one and need to drop this one off to a buyer (or a junkyard). Obviously I'd rather drop it off and get some cash for it. The "Good" and the "Bad" are listed below. If you are seriously interested I can take pictures.
The Good:
The interior needs a good cleaning but is not ripped and otherwise in good condition.
All electrical accessories are in working order with the exception that the wipers, when turned off, sit upright on the windshield instead of retracting.
The body, other than the items mentioned below, is in good shape and the paint is okay.
Good gas mileage (and would be better with a tune-up); was getting almost 26 on highway cruise control at 65.
Engine and transmission appear to be fine.
The Bad (at least what I know):
One brake line is disconnected from the master cylinder due to a leak in that line. The result is that only one front and one back brake (on opposite sides) are working. I've been driving it that way for almost two years, but would not recommend it. Brakes should be fine with that one line repaired.
Rear driver tail light is broken.
Front bumper on driver's side has a 6-inch to 1-foot spot where the paint has been scraped off, but the bumper is intact and not damaged.
Rear passenger-side door had the trim knocked off, although it did not dent or scrape the the body or the door.
Grill is missing.
Trunk latch catch is loose--trunk closes all the way but you need to use both hands--one to hold catch in place while closing trunk. If the latch is screwed back into place, trunk auto-close works as it should.
Wiper motor is out of synch so that wipers are in the up position (rather than retracted) when the wipers are turned off.
Radio antennae no longer goes down--you can hear the motor running but it is stuck.
Both outside mirrors have cracked glass and driver's side has damaged casing--but they can still be adjusted via the inside remote.
Uses some oil--not a lot but some. Ocassionally I have to add a quart.
Needs a tune-up (change of plugs, air filters, etc.).
Tires are mix and match.
