It is quite obvious that we take good care of our favorite vehicles and often getting awry if someone tries to demean its value. Generally we can't tackle with the internal problems of the vehicle, but there is a lot we can do about handling the non-mechanical works of the vehicle. It doesn't take much of our efforts and we can do some non-mechanical repair with the help of some domestically available tools and accessories. Non-mechanical job include aligning the chassis and body of your vehicle, manual painting and repairing jobs, removal of corrosion and many more. If you are still confused about some of the common non-mechanical repairing jobs of the vehicle, then we will help you out in figuring out some of these.

Common Non-Mechanical Repairing Jobs

Suppose you are invited to a grand dinner and after wearing the dinner jacket, you found that your car has got a tardy paint mark on its bumper. This will taint your image badly as people will see your car before you. To avoid this sort of situation, it is advised to keep monitoring the performance and outlook of the car. Apart from the above situation, there may be several such incidences which can cause potential harms to your reputation and health. So, before going for a drive next time, just thoroughly examine the car for its performance and appearance. Here are some crucial checks you can carry out before going for a drive:

  • Appearance of the Car - Appearance matters a lot for us as the looks of our car are often connected with our status symbol and any mark on our car can prove to be a spot in our reputation. Various spots like paint marks, stone-chipping marks, birds dropping and other residual marks must be treated with paint and waxing stuffs. If you car has gotten any of these ugly looking spots, then you can remove these by applying matching paint to the affected region. Paint should be applied after cleaning the surface. The shine of the surface can be resumed by applying wax to it.
  • Removal of Corrosion - The lower surface of the vehicle usually gets corroded due to its continuous exposure to dirt and moisture from road. This corrosion if persists, can cause leakage and damage to the components exposed. The early detection of rust can be treated by a suitable polishing and waxing material. Just clean the surface with sandpaper and apply polish over it followed by a coating of wax.
  • Minor Alignments of the Vehicle - You can align various apparatus of your car with some domestic tools. This includes aligning the front and rear tires, mirrors, doors and other such things. You can also check for the chassis alignment if you have some aptitude for mechanical works.
  • Miscellaneous Checks- Other checks include, examining the seatbelt and door locks, smoothly working brakes, functioning bumper, flat tires, cozy seat covers and many more.

Apart from these checks a regular servicing of the vehicle is recommended and if you are going for a replacement of component, makes sure that it should be carried out by a qualified technician.
