  • The site should be cleaned with the help of a suitable duster.
  • Then it should be treated with the matching spray-paint/touch-up paint. For spray-paint, a sharp tooth-pick can be taken to do the manual cleansing, otherwise the same purpose can be served by a paint-brush in case of touch-up paint. However, latter is found to be more effective.
  • Now after shaking well the spray paint, the paint is taken in a small cup. The tooth-pick is then dipped into it and it is then applied to the damaged portion of the car.
  • The same procedure can be followed while using the touch-up paint and brush.

Removal of Deep Scratches

Deep scratches can also be handled in the same fashion as is done in case of stone-chipping. A proper matching paint should be applied using a brush or a tooth-pick. Care must be taken while applying the paint, as it might flow out.

Removal of Minor-Scratches

Minor Scratches are always difficult to handle as they can't be treated by applying paint on a macro-level. These scratches are usually tackled with a polishing compound and a liquid wax by abiding two simple steps:

  • First of all, the polishing compound should be applied with the help of a damped sponge. Then the scratch area is buffed by applying the sponge in a circular motion and the process should be continued until the scratches disappear.
  • After getting done with polishing, the affected area is treated with wax to restore the lost shine of car.

Repairing Paint Marks
