DESCRIPTION
The coolant fan is controlled by the coolant fan relay. The coolant fan relay is electrically operated by the ECM. The ECM receives input signals from the coolant temperature sensor, the vehicle speed sensor and the A/C mode selector. The ECM activates the coolant fan relay when the engine coolant, which is sensed by the coolant temperature sensor, is above 227°F, when the A/C is turned on or when the coolant temperature sensor fails. - Drain approximately2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder assembly.
- Raise and support vehicle, then mark position of wheel and remove tire and wheel assembly.
- If caliper is to be serviced or replaced, remove bolt securing inlet fitting, then disconnect brake hose, and plug end to prevent loss of fluid and contamination. Do not crimp brake hose, as this may damage internal structure of hose. If only shoe and lining assemblies are being replaced, do not disconnect brake hose from caliper.
