- Remove drive belt.
- On C36 and C280 models, remove bolt (5), Fig. .
- On all models, remove compressor three-pole connector.
- Remove mounting bolts (3).
- Remove compressor downward with suction and discharge lines attached.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting bolts to 17 ft. lbs.

- Open righthand rear brake caliper bleed screw and allow approximately 2.7 ounces of brake fluid to flow out without any bubbles.
- Tighten bleed screw to specifications.
- Repeat bleeding procedure at lefthand rear, righthand front and lefthand front calipers.
- On S320, S350, S420, S500 and S600 models, open master cylinder bleed screw and allow brake fluid to flow without any bubbles. Tighten bleed screw to specifications.

Do not smoke or allow an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel system related components. The highly flammable vapor mixtures may ignite, resulting in serious personal injury.
Prior to disconnecting fuel lines, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental fuel spray.
