- Disconnect cable from battery ground terminal.
- Remove four bolts, then remove engine under cover.
- Remove three bolts, then remove manifold stay.
- Remove bolt, then separate earth wire harness from cylinder block.
- Disconnect terminal 50 connector from starter assembly.
- Remove nut, then disconnect wire harness from terminal 30.
- Remove two bolts, then remove starter assembly.
- Remove starter from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque starter assembly with two bolts to 27 ft. lbs.
- Torque wire harness to terminal 30 nut to 84 in. lbs.
