  • Disconnect battery cables.
  • Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
  • Drain engine coolant by loosening drain plug on bottom of radiator. Never drain coolant when engine is hot to avoid being scalded. Drain coolant from radiator into a clean suitable container.
  • Remove bolt securing air cleaner and duct assembly.
  • Remove battery frame nuts and bracket securing battery then remove battery.
  • Remove bolts securing battery tray.
  • Disconnect hose clamp for upper radiator hose at radiator side.
  • Disconnect hose clamp for lower radiator hose at radiator side.
