RADIATOR & HOSE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2006 Lexus RX400H AUTOMOBILES

Radiator, Replace
Vehicle: 2006 Lexus RX400H 3.3 V6 ELECTRIC/GAS
- Raise vehicle.
- Drain engine coolant into a suitable container.
- Remove engine under cover no. 1
- Lower vehicle.
- Remove cool air intake duct seal.
- Remove air cleaner cap with inlet.
- Disconnect radiator hose inlet from No. 2 radiator assembly.
- Disconnect radiator hose outlet from No. 2 radiator assembly.
- Separate hood lock assembly as follows:
- Remove two screws
- Detach claws and remove hood lock control cable cover.
- Using a screwdriver, remove cap.
- Remove two bolts and nut, and separate hood lock.
- Remove radiator support sub-assembly upper as follows:

- Drain cooling system into a suitable container by loosening drain plug of radiator.
- Reposition hose clamp at radiator outlet.
- Remove hose from radiator.
- Reposition hose clamp at water inlet.
- Remove hose from water inlet.
