Starter, Replace
Vehicle: 2006 Lexus GS430 4.3 V8 GAS
- Discharge fuel system pressure.
- Position vehicle on lift and ensure transaxle is in neutral position.
- Disconnect battery ground cable. After removing battery ground cable wait 90 seconds to prevent air bag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- Drain engine coolant from radiator. Drain coolant into clean suitable container and plug end of hose.
- Remove nuts securing v-bank cover.
- Remove clips securing cool air intake duct seal.
- Remove bolt from air inlet and remove air inlet.
- Remove clips from lefthand engine side cover.
- Remove clips from righthand engine side cover.
- Disconnect PVC hose...

- Disconnect battery ground cable. After removing battery ground cable wait 90 seconds to prevent air bag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- Raise vehicle on suitable lift.
- Remove clips securing cool air intake duct seal.
- Remove bolt from air inlet and remove air inlet.
- Remove air cleaner assembly by loosing hose clamps then remove intake air connection pipe.
- Remove nuts securing v-bank cover.
- Remove bolts securing engine under cover.
