- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- On models equipped with AWD, proceed as follows:
- Remove steering gear to steering column pinch bolt.
- Remove three mounting bolts and slightly lower steering gear.
- Temporarily support steering gear. Do not disconnect any hydraulic hoses or remove steering linkage.
