Relearn Procedures

- Apply the Parking brake, then place the ignition switch in the On position.
- Cycle the headlamp switch from Off to Parking Lamp position 4 times within 4 seconds.
- The horn should chirp twice and the low tire pressure warning indicator should begin to flash indicating the system is in the learn mode.
- If GM tool No. J-46079 or equivalent is available, starting with the left front tire, hold the antenna of the tool No. J-46079 near the valve stem on the wheel, then press the activate button and wait for the horn to chirp.

Each tire pressure sensor has an internal power supply which has a service life of 10 years.
Removal
- Loosen the lug nuts.
- Raise and support vehicle with jack stands, then remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Prior to dismounting the tire from the wheel, note the following precautions:
- Position the bead breaking fixture 90° from the valve stem when separating the tire bead from the wheel.
