DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2004 Toyota Camry AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 2004 Toyota Camry cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2004 Toyota Camry 2.4 L4 GAS
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Drain transmission fluid.
- Unstake driveshaft hub nut.
- With an assistant applying brakes, remove driveshaft hub nut.
- Remove nut and disconnect stabilizer link from shock absorber assembly.
- On models with ABS, proceed as follows:
- Remove sensor wire clamp.
- Remove bolt and disconnect sensor wire from shock absorber assembly.
- Remove bolt and disconnect ABS speed sensor from steering knuckle.
- On all models, remove cotter pin and nut from outer tie rod end.
- Disconnect tie rod assembly from steering knuckle using a suitable pry tool...
