- With coolant temperature below 83°C (181°F), turn ignition On and ensure fan stops. If fan does not stop, proceed to next step. If fan stops, inspect cooling fan.
- Inspect fan relays.
- Disconnect No. 1 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch connector.
- Connect terminals of No. 1 ECT switch connector using a suitable jumper wire. If fan rotates at high speed, proceed to next step. If fan does not rotate, inspect cooling fan main...

- Remove air cleaner inlet.
- Remove air cleaner and MAF meter assembly.
- Disconnect upper radiator hose.
- Disconnect ECM outlet duct from ECM box.
- Disconnect wire for electric cooling fan from clamp on cooling fan.
- Disconnect two electric cooling fan connectors.
- Disconnect radiator...
