- Remove bracket mounting bolts and nuts, then the righthand and lefthand engine mount struts.
- Remove lefthand inner fender brace electrical harness push-in connector from the brace.
- Remove mounting bolts and lefthand front end sheet metal diagonal brace.
- On models equipped with 3.4L engine, proceed as follows:
- Loosen air cleaner intake duct clamps.
- Remove PCV tube from air cleaner intake duct.
- Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) and Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors' electrical connectors.

- Remove HVAC module as outlined in "Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Module, Replace."
- Remove HVAC module outer seals and recirculation housing.
- Disconnect retaining clip and remove defroster actuator.
- Remove HVAC module case upper screws and separate case.
- Remove HVAC module seal from lower module case.
- Remove evaporator core and water core filter from evaporator.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque case mounting screws to 13 inch lbs.
