- Remove battery and battery tray.
- Remove radiator shroud cover.
- Loosen compressor drive belt tensioner pulley, then remove drive belt.
- Disconnect high and low pressure hoses from compressor. Plug all openings to prevent contamination.
- Remove compressor mounting bolts, then the compressor.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque compressor mounting bolts to 15-22 ft. lbs.

Remove defective components. Add the proper amount of oil to each replacement component. Most recovery/recycling equipment will measure the amount of oil being removed. This is the amount of oil to be added back to the system, follow manufactures instructions provided with the recovery/recycling station.
