- Drain coolant into suitable container.
- Remove air cleaner assembly.
- Remove Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
- Remove upper fan shroud.
- Remove drive belt.
- Remove fan and fan blade clutch assembly.
- Remove water pump pulley.
- Disconnect coolant bypass hose and clamps.
- Disconnect radiator outlet hose from water pump.
- Remove four water pump bolts, then the water pump.
- Reverse procedure to install.

Service procedures given are for compressor removed and mounted in suitable holding fixture. However, on most applications, compressor clutch components can be serviced without removing compressor or recovering refrigerant from system. If refrigerant recovery becomes necessary, refer to for procedure.
To prevent serious internal compressor damage, when removing or installing clutch components, never apply pressure directly to the compressor shaft. Always use a suitable shaft protector.

- Remove grille and front end panel.
- Disconnect radiator tie bar support at top.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines from condenser. Cap lines and fittings to prevent dirt or moisture from entering system.

- Remove condenser.
- Reverse procedure to install.
