    • Close drain plugs at engine block and bottom of radiator.
    • Remove expansion tank filler cap.
    • Install filler adapter tool No. VAG 1274/8, or equivalent, onto expansion tank.
    • Connect tube tool No. VAG 1274/10, or equivalent, onto adapter.
    • If adapter and tube are not available, remove expansion tank mounting hardware and temporarily raise it approximately four inches.

    • Remove lower slot cover from between knee bolster and lower column cover.
