- Install hose clips on hoses by heater core, then remove hoses from heater core.
- Empty coolant from core using compressed air.
- Remove glove compartment as follows:
- Open glove compartment, then the covers to expose retaining screws.
- Remove all retaining screws, retaining bolt and expanding rivet in front edge, then the catch from bulkhead bracket.
- Remove glove compartment and disconnect glove compartment lamp connector.
- Remove center console side panels, then the ignition lock cover.

- Remove instrument panel as outlined under "Instrument Panel, Replace."
- Separate A/C hoses at lead-through in bulkhead wall.
- Install clips on hoses by heater box.
- Use compressed air in one heater hose to blast coolant from heater core.
- Remove hoses from heater box.
- Remove draining hose.
- Remove driver side knee guard.
- Cut off cable ties and remove rear air ducts on floor in front of heater box housing.
