Disassemble
  • Remove master cylinder from vehicle.
  • Remove reservoir cover and diaphragm. Discard old brake fluid in reservoir.
  • Inspect cover and diaphragm. Replace if cut, cracked or deformed.
  • Remove fluid level switch and proportioning valve assembly, if equipped.

  • Separate ball joint from steering knuckle.
  • Use hub spindle remover tool No. J 28733-B or equivalent in order to remove front wheel drive axle from front wheel drive shaft bearing. Partially install front wheel drive axle nut in order to protect threads.
