- Read out stored fault messages with suitable scan tool.
- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect and cover battery ground terminal.
- Remove suction filter housing.
- Remove fan clutch.
- Remove alternator drive belt.
- Drain supply tank for power steering pump if necessary, remove with holder and place to one side. Lines on supply tank for power steering pump remain connected.
- Remove air hose.
