- Remove defroster grille attaching screw and grille.
- Remove clip-on end caps by prying of with non-marring tool.
- On Cavalier models, remove four dash panel trim pad attaching screws and trim pad. Screws are located at each end of trim pad and in glove compartment.
- On Sunfire models, remove three valance attaching screws then valance and ten accessory trim plate attaching screws then trim plate.
- On Cavalier models, remove dash panel cluster trim plate attaching screws and gently pry out trim plate from around HVAC control and radio
