When the brake pedal is depressed, both the primary (front brake) and the secondary (rear brake) master cylinder pistons are moved simultaneously to exert hydraulic fluid pressure on their respective independent hydraulic systems. - Remove front wheel and tire assembly from vehicle.
- Remove front caliper assembly from front steering knuckle assembly.
- Remove front braking disk (rotor) from hub, by pulling it straight off wheel mounting studs.
- Remove speed sensor cable routing bracket from strut assembly.
- Remove hub and bearing to stub axle retaining nut.
- Install a puller, Special Tool 6790 or equivalent, on hub and bearing assembly, using wheel lug nuts to secure it in place.
