It must be attached as close to condenser as possible to read liquid line temperature.
- With transaxle in park and engine idling at 700 RPM, set air conditioning controls as follows:

- Remove accessory drive belts as equipped, then cooling fan.
- Disconnect all hoses from water pump.
- Remove alternator upper and lower mounting braces, if necessary.
- Remove water pump attaching bolts, Figs. and , then water pump from engine.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque water pump attaching bolts to 30 ft. lbs.
Diesel Engine
- Disconnect batteries, then drain cooling system.
- Remove fan, then fan shroud.
