Power Supply
- Check battery for full charge.
- Check that fuses 3, 12 and anti-lock brake power supply relay fuses are satisfactory. The anti-lock brake power supply relay fuse is located on top of the power supply relay.
- Check for continuity between ABS control unit connector terminal 13 and ground, at battery ground cable. Fig. .
- Turn ignition switch to the Off position.
- Check for continuity between ABS control unit connector terminal 10 and ground.
- Check for battery voltage between ABS control unit plug terminals 1 and 10. Approximate battery voltage should be read.

Obtain the radio anti-theft system code before attempting any repair that requires battery disconnect. If a code is unavailable, on repairs that do not require air bag system disarming, a "Computer Memory Saver" should be plugged into the cigarette lighter to maintain a constant voltage to the radio.
If radio is disabled proceed as follows to reactivate system.
- Obtain radio anti-theft system code from vehicle owner/operator, then turn radio to On position, SAFE should be displayed.

Refer to Fig. , for LED identification numbers. Weaker illumination of an LED indicates a contact resistance in respective circuit.
- Check for continuity between ABS control unit connector terminal 34 and ground, at battery ground cable (LED 1). Fig. .
- Check for continuity between ABS control unit connector terminal 10 and ground, at battery ground cable (LED 3).
- If continuity does not exist, repair circuit for short or open.

- With engine off, depress brake pedal approximately 20 times to reduce system pressure.
- Disconnect warning light switch electrical connector, then remove switch.
- Attach pressure gauge with hollow bolt and copper washers to brake servo unit. Attach thick copper washer between brake servo unit and banjo fitting and thin copper washer between hollow bolt and banjo fitting.
- Start engine and let idle until pressure gauge reading exceeds 2030 psi.
- If specified pressure is not reached, check delivery rate of central hydraulic pump as follows.
