DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 1994 Audi 90 AUTOMOBILES
Includes CV axle, universal joint, and driveline replacement, for domestic and imported 1994 Audi 90 cars and light trucks from 1990+.
CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace -> Less Attached Wheel Bearing Housing -> W/Attached Wheel Bearing Housing
Vehicle: 1994 Audi 90 CS 2.8 V6 GAS
W/Attached Wheel Bearing Housing
- Loosen wheel bolts.
- Remove wheel hub to axle shaft bolt.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove washer and wheel.
- Remove axle shaft flange, nut from link rod, and control arm to stabilizer bar to subframe mounting bolts.
- Push control arm downward, then press axle shaft out of hub using a suitable puller.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Ensure splines on stub axle and wheel hub are free of oil, grease and old locking compound.
- Apply a .2 inch (5mm) band of D6 locking compound around end of outer CV joint splines, then install ax...
