- Replace pressure relief valve if a leak is detected at end of relief valve.
- If a leak is detected at the base of relief valve by threads, retighten valve. If leak cannot be stopped replace pressure relief valve.
THERMOSTAT CHECK
- Dip thermostat in engine oil.
- Check continuity across terminals 1 and 2, Fig. .
- Continuity should exist when temperature is at 230°F or less (point A).
- No continuity should exist when temperature is at 311°F or more (point B).

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Loosen and remove drive belts, then disconnect compressor clutch lead wire, if equipped.
- Remove refrigerant lines from compressor.
- Remove compressor attaching bolts and nuts.
- Remove compressor.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Laser/Talon & Stealth
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Discharge A/C system.
- Remove compressor referring to numbered sequence shown in Figs....
