- Remove compressor clutch assembly and key from compressor crankshaft.
- Remove 6 compressor through bolts with 6 mm. Allen wrench.
- Remove front cover by tapping on outside of cover with plastic hammer.
- Remove O-ring seal from front cover and discard.
- Remove felt and retainer from front cover, Fig. .

TYPE 1
- Place drain pan under the master cylinder.
- Using a suitable wrench, disconnect brake lines from the master cylinder. Plug all lines and fittings.
- Remove master cylinder-to-brake booster attaching nuts.
- Pull master cylinder outward and away from brake booster.
- Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
- Prior to installing a new or rebuilt master cylinder, it should be bench bled as described under "Brake System Bleed."
- Torque master cylinder-to-brake booster attaching nuts to 170-230 inch lbs.
- Torque brake line fittings to 170 inch lbs.

Inboard C/V joints have stub shafts splined into differential side gears, or intermediate shaft on right side of an equal length system. Driveshafts are spring loaded and are retained to side gears by constant spring pressure provided by spring contained in C/V joints.
