- Release handbrake.
- Remove screw plug from adjusting screw on back side of rear caliper, Fig. .
- Tighten adjusting screw completely, then back off1/4-1/2 turn. Ensure rotor turns freely.
- Ensure clearance between parking brake lever and stop is .04Plus or minus .02 inch (1Plus or minus .5mm).
- If clearance is not as specified, remove center console as follows:
- Remove spacer between front and rear sections of console.
- Release and slide up gear lever rubber boot.
- Remove two screws at front of cover plate.
- Place gear lever in R, then remove ignition key and lift rear of cover.
