| Summary: | FIRST THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON THEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS IN AN INTERSECTION ON CITY STREETS. I GOT THE CAR RESTARTED AND IT SEEMED TO BE FINE. I CHECKED THE OIL AND ENSURED THAT IT HAD PLENTY AND EVEN SCHEDULED IT FOR AN OIL CHANGE EVEN THOUGH I ONLY HAD APPROX 1500 MILES ON THE PREVIOUS CHANGED OIL. THEN I WS ON THE FWY DRIVING TO WORK AND WHEN I WAS CHANGING LANES THE SAME THING HAPPENED. THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF ON ME. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE FWY AND THANKFULLY THERE WAS AN EXIT CLOSE BY WHERE I WAS ABLE TO EXIT WITHOUT FURTHER DAMAGE OR INJURY. THIS IS A 2.7L DODGE INTREPID AND I AM NOW BEING QUOTED BY THE DEALERSHIP OF A REPAIR BILL EXCEEDING 850+ DOLLARS. *TR |
