| Summary: | THE SPEEDOMETER ON MY 2003 GMC YUKON DENALI, WITH 40,000 MILES, HAS QUIT WORKING. THROUGH RESEARCH IT APPEARS THAT MANY GM OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AND GM INSISTS ON REPAIR COSTS RANGING FROM $500 TO $1000 DOLLARS. THE SPEEDOMETER IN MY VEHICLE HAS STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THEN HIGH WAY. THIS FAILURE CAN LEAD TO ACCIDENTS AS WELL AS FINANCIAL BURDENS WHEN HAVING TO PAY FOR SPEEDING TICKETS DUE TO THE FAILURE TO MAINTAIN A SAFE SPEED. AT THIS POINT NOTHING HAS BEEN REPAIRED AS I REFUSE TO PAY GM TO REPAIR A DEFECTIVE PART, WHICH THEY ARE AWARE OF. I UNDERSTAND THAT A FATALITY HAS TO OCCUR BEFORE THE NTHSA AND/OR GM TO TAKE ACTION TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *NM |
