| Summary: | FOUND BLISTERING STEEL ON LEFT STRUT TOWER. WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE STRUT TOP IS SUPPORTED BY THE TOWER. USED A SCREWDRIVER AND HAMMER TO KNOCK RUSTED METAL LOOSE. FOUND HOLES CLEAR THROUGH THE METAL INTO THE WHEEL WELL. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. WAS TOLD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH A BULLETIN FROM CHRYSLER CORPORATION. WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE COULD BE REPAIRED FOR $350.00 DOLLARS. HAD VEHICLE REPAIRED AND PAID THE BILL. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE DESIGN THAT IS UNSAFE. CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE A RECALL AND REIMBURSE PEOPLE FOR THE REPAIRS. I HAVE TAKEN DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE RUST DAMAGE. *NM |
