| Summary: | VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT OFF IN TRAFFIC.*MR WHEN LIQUID OR MOISTURE LEAKED FROM OPENING IN THE BEVERAGE HOLDERS TO THE COMPUTER BELOW, THE ENGINE BECAME INOPERABLE WHILE THE LIGHTS CONTINUED TO OPERATE. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE BEVERAGE HOLDER WERE IN USE- EVEN THE HUMIDITY FROM THE AIR WAS ENOUGH TO TRIGGER THE PROBLEM. CONSUMER NARROWLY ESCAPED SEVERAL REAR-END COLLISIONS AS A RESULT OF ENGINE SHUT DOWNS WHILE IN TRAFFIC. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FOR THIS PROBLEM. TIME AND TIME AGAIN THEY FOUND NOTHING. CONSUMER STATED AFTER MANY TOW-INS, THE PROBLEM MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED. THE ONLY REASON THE CONSUMER KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS THREW A CO-WORKER. CONSUMER FEELS THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND ISSUE A RECALL IF NECESSARY. VEHICLE IS A 1996 SATURN. *PH |
