| Summary: | WHILE CRUISE CONTROL IS IN OPERATION AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 55 AND 70 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT INTO SECOND GEAR AND RAPIDLY ACCELERATE VEHICLE, CAUSING THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE TO SWERVE AND ON ONE OCCASION CAUSED INTHE VEHICLE TO LOSE TRACTION, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED IN MAY OF 2000 THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAD CONTACTED CHEVROLET WHO STATED THEY WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM BY WRITING A NEW COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL, HOWEVER CONSUMER WAS LATER TOLD THAT THIS WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, CONSUMER IS REQUESTING THAT VEHICLE BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AND IF THAT CAN NOT BE DONE CONSUMER REQUESTS TO BE REFUNDED FOR THE ENTIRE PURCHASE PRICE. *SLC |
