| Summary: | TRANSMISSION FAILS TO SHIFT OUT OF SECOND GEAR, OCCASIONALLY WILL NOT SHIFT INTO FIRST. DEALERS ALL ACKNOWLEDGE IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH INTREPIDS MADE IN 93, 94 AND 95. I AM LUCKY. MOST FAILURES HAPPEN AROUND 40, 000 MILES. THIS IS A $2000.00 REPAIR BILL. EVERY MECHANIC I HAVE TALKED TO TELLS ME IF YOU BUY AN INTREPID FROM THOSE YEARS YOUR ARE GUARANTEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. IT IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT THAT CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF AND SHOU;LD REQUIRE AN IMMEDIATE RECALL BEFORE EVEN MORE PEOPLE GET RIPPED OFF!! |
